16×18.5″ This is one of the many plant creatures of the Arboretum of Dow's lake. Most of the trees there that one might think more obvious choices as subjects are great, grand trees, beautifully pruned and exotic. I draw those too, but this is one of the new growths that are scattered about. And yes, the stems and leaves really are a bright orange. Because this is a lively bushy growth out of what is obvously a cut tree, I have titled this one: "Anew" |
